Replacement Dog Bed Cover or New Bed
You may not need to replace an entire dog bed when one component wears out. Check the cover, fill and fit separately before deciding what to buy.
Choose a cover when the cushion still works
A replacement cover can refresh a worn surface or give you another color while keeping a cushion that still holds its shape. A spare cover can also help with laundry rotation. It will not restore worn-out fill or change the bed's internal construction.
Choose an insert when the fill is the problem
If the outer cover is usable but the cushion no longer provides the shape or fullness you want, compare a replacement insert. Check the original fill type and thickness instead of choosing by length and width alone. A different fill can change how the bed feels and how it fits inside the cover.
Consider a complete bed when the fit or style needs to change
If your dog needs a different sleeping area, or both cover and cushion need replacement, compare the complete bed with the separate components. Think about whether your dog curls up, sprawls out or rests its head on a raised edge. Our size guide can help you compare styles.
Measure and identify before ordering
- Find the original product style and size. Bagel, round, rectangle, pillow and lounge beds are not interchangeable.
- Measure length, width and thickness, and note the shape and any bolster or separate cushion.
- Compare the replacement's listed dimensions and construction with your bed.
- If the original is another brand or an unusual size, ask about a custom option before assuming a standard replacement fits.
For a custom insert, send the measurements requested by that product, not an estimate based on your dog's weight. Do not add an arbitrary allowance to the dimensions of a cover.
